Yesterday Bo came to our home and spent several hours with me. She is an avid ping-pong player, swimmer, and petroleum business management professor, but had never made anything with her hands. I took the opportunity to teach her how to make some fun crafts while we visited. She learned how to make gift bags, decorate small gift boxes, and how to make note cards.
Bo lives near the Mongolian border and must return to her homeland in three weeks. She will resume her job of teaching in the University of Petroleum in China.
We had fun working through some of the language hurdles (which brought a lot of laughter) and worked our way through the Gospel message (which brought a lot of questions). Bo accepted a helpful book about the Bible and salvation to study further when she arrives home. She was thrilled to see it was written in her own language as well as English. My time with Bo has been brief; pray for God's enduring love and mercy to be extended to her in the coming days.
