Fabulous Fourth

Celebrating Freedom Day in our spot on the Earth:

The lovely, large flag in front of sanctuary
Kina, from Cuba, proud to be in America!
Singing patriotic songs
picnic lunch with church families
Meeting and talking to Wen's parents in her country via Skype.
Wen was the helpful translator for everyone.
By the pond at the local park.
Waiting for all the fireworks to begin.
Wen, Sharon, Yvette
It rained almost all day, but stopped not long before it got dark.
It was a lovely display!

Wen called these the "evening palms"  :)

  1. Isn't it amazing to skype with someone on the other side of the globe? We were so thankful for that technology when Elsbeth was in Japan for months, and then in Korea for a year!

  2. Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog! Are you involved in a ministry at Florida International University??! Because my husband got his first degree from that school! It would be so awesome to hear about that ministry! If only he had heard the Gospel in his FIU days...what a difference it makes! Would love to hear more and get to know you more! Take care! Abbi :)
