Recently we were in Georgia for some speaking engagements. (I will divide this journey into two blog entries.) Along the way we got to see some very special people.

It was a huge blessing to be able to see my parents, especially after her accident a few weeks ago. (She was hit by a car while walking in the parking lot and spent several days in the hospital.) God is merciful!

It was good to meet some of her new friends, including Sue, who lives nearby.

Michael was able to share our ministry with a small congregation and preach in the morning service.

In the afternoon we were able to visit a nearby home for the elderly and worship together with some very sweet people.  These dear ladies sang along with the hymns and held hands the entire service!

Myrtle, on the right, is 100 years old and quite fine.

I was also able to see two of my brothers.  It had been a while since we were together. We had a delightful time visiting but forgot to take a picture until midnight. :) We all look ready for some sleep!

Another special treat was spending some time with one of our former CBF students who now lives in Georgia. How delightful to see them walking with the Lord and growing together in Him.

Their daughter Elsie, was also a joy to be with for these days.

She loved to hang out with Mom in the kitchen.

And she was fascinated by the world around her . . . including my toes. :)

Elsie loved to do puzzles, read books, and take care of her baby dolls.

We will post about the rest of our Georgia journey soon.
