It is always a joy to share what God is doing on campus...
and equally a privilege to get to know those who pray for us as we serve.
This Q & A with the missionaries was very helpful for everyone involved and allowed us to hear what was on the minds of those who support us through prayer.
The question and answer time for this conference was a bit more formal but no less insightful as those in the congregation were able to ask anything on their heart.
Though most of you reading were not with us in these conferences, perhaps you have your own set of questions.
These two men have given many years to God- one in countless hours of prayer, as he is blind; the other as a pastor for 46 years, and now as a missionary in his retirement years.
This servant is nearly 90 years of age, plays and sings the piano with amazing skill, and still translates the message of Truth over radio waves into Latin America.
In one church, the students in the Christian school take six weeks before the conference to earn money to give to missions. They bake and sell cookies, wash cars, mow lawns, walk for miles, and embark on other creative adventures. This year they earned $41,000.00 dollars.
One church gave this new bride of six weeks a money tree during the conference. She and her husband serve in Africa.
We also had the privilege of stopping on our journey to visit these two missionaries.
We have a few affectionate names for them (as they do us!) but what really matters is the names that have been written in the Lamb's Book of Life because of their service to God for many years in Haiti and America.
Only God knows just how many will encircle the Throne because of faithful servants like these.
