This week we attended the Chinese New Year
celebration at Utah Valley University.
Of course, the traditional red dragon
had to make his appearance.
The children were excited to watch and participate
in some of the traditional customs,
as well as some that were not so traditional.
The children were not the only ones
on the edge of their seats.
Many adults were just as eager to help the Chinese
students at UVU usher in their lunar new year.
We met Yoyo before it all began.
He graced us all with delightful music on his cello.
Tian Lin sang 'Moonlight' in her native tongue.
It was an honor to meet her after the celebration, and we hope
to get to know her more in the coming days.
Happy New Year!
