A Bit of Snow

If you are a regular visitor here
you will know that for more than 12 years
winter usually included palm trees.

This year, God has us wrapped in sweaters, gloves, and boots.

 Welcome to winter!

God made great artwork out of
an already beautiful crabapple tree.

He did some pretty impressive sculpting
on the fence as well.

In one evening, He spread nearly a foot of beautiful,
but very cold snowflakes around the yard,

and over the weeds in the field
on the other side of the fence.

We were tucked safely
and warmly inside while the beautiful
snow-show fell from the heavens.

But, in the morning, it was evident
that the birds stopped by...

probably to get their breakfast
off the crabapple tree-
bare, except for the apples meant just for them.

Don't you love how God takes care of His creation?

Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat,
or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on.
Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not,
neither do they reap, nor gather into barns;
yet your heavenly Father feedeth them.
Are ye not much better than they?
Matthew 6:25-26
